Dr. Bud E Alldredge Jr
VETERINARIAN

Born in Sweetwater, TX and graduated from Newman High School, Dr. Alldredge attended the University of Texas at Austin for three years prior to transferring to Texas A&M and being accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine. He recieved a BVS degree and DVM degree at Texas A&M.

In 1969, two days after graduating, Dr. Alldredge joined his father, Dr. Bud Sr., at the Sweetwater Veterinary Hospital. The practice at that time was primarily food animal production oriented (Beef & Dairy cattle, sheep and swine production), horses and some small animal medicine. Since the 1970’s, the practice has changed emphasis (for many reasons) and is now primarily a companion animal practice (dogs, cats & horses) with much less food animal production medicine.

Dr. Alldredge has been active in the commuity over the years serving on many board and committees, including the SISD school board, Juvenile Probation Board, Chamber of Commerce Board and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church.

Professionally, Dr. Alldredge is a member of the AVMA, TVMA, and AAVMA. He has served on various TVMA committees., Dr. Alldredge recently completed his 2nd 6 year term on the TBVME serving as chairman for 7 years.
